I am trying to find proof that William Green Whitaker (b.about 1845) in Lauderdale County, Alabama, is the son of Isaac Cary Whitaker (b. about 1806) and Jane Basket Whitaker (b.1810). I have traced the children as Elizabeth, William (mine), Willis, Catherine, Isaac C., and Henry Clay. I know that after Isaac "Cary" Whitaker passed away, that Jane took her children and went to Nacogdoches, Texas, where she is buried and a good portion of her descendants still live. I need to prove that my William Green is her William, as I cannot find the link anywhere else. Apparently he stayed behind in Alabama, and I have a good portion of the history from there, but I am always looking for more, as this was a most interesting family.
