P.S. The first mention of Maj. Wm. is 1652, so he could have been born c. 1625.
Re the Jamestowne Society - They admitted people on Jabez for several years. I told them there was no proof, so they don't like to admit new members on him. But the new people were canny; they didn't attempt to prove it, they just referred to the old names that had been approved earlier, so they were admitted... Richard Whitaker is well documented and would be accepted by them.
