I have been given several "Visiting Cards" from a friend who purchased them at an auction. I am attempting to contact someone from the direct line of F.M. Whitaker and pass on his photo. The card is approximately 2 1/2 inches by 4 inches and these cards were given when wishing to visit someone. The front of the card is a photo of a man in his twenties or thirties. Handwritten on the back, Mr. F.M. Whitaker, *md. May 10, 1872. Also printed on the back, Lawrence, Cor. State and Main Streets, Bridgeport, Conn. *( md. = ?married?) I am an avid genealogist for my family and know how wonderful it would be to have a photo of any member. I hope that you can assist me with any information that may be helpful in reaching a direct line descendant of F.M. Whitaker.
