Joseph Wells is mortgaging property in Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire, to Richard Whitaker for £48. It is described as a " little messuage or tenement consisting of two bays of building ............ with the little yard adjoining ".
We are told that Joseph Wells is the only son of Elizabeth Neal of Burton Latimer, Widow, and that she was named in the Will of Thomas Wells of Burton Latimer, Labourer. It appears that Elizabeth Neal is still alive and living in the property; Joseph Wells will only become entitled to it after her death.
