Heywood, Lancashire, St. Luke's registers show "Nicky Whitaker" born 12 Aug 1796 to James Whitaker of "Trap Inn." This "Nicky" is the Nicholas Whitaker who shows up in the 1841 census of Dukinfield, Cheshire and the 1850 census of Kenosha, WI. This James of "Trap Inn" in Heywood also had William (b. 27 Jun 1798; d. 8 Apr 1799), Nelly b. 29 Oct 1801, and Mariah (d. 31 Jan 1800; no birth information). There are numerous references to "Trap Inn" in the Heywood St. Luke's parish registers between 1796 and about 1815, but the refences to James Whitaker "of Trap-Inn" end in 1802. There are James Whitakers in Heywood who show up shortly after 1802: James "of Gooden Lane" and James of "Lane End." There are no burials of a James Whitaker, so I am trying to determine if my James moved to one of these locations, or if these are different James Whitakers. Any help with any of the various James Whitakers of Heywood in this time frame would be greatly appreciated.
