Through the process of exclusion I have placed Catherine Whitaker in my genetic line, R1b1 Group 1. Alexander Whitaker signed the bond for her union. Her husband is later found in Logan/Butler Co., KY near Alexander b.1760 in Muhlenberg Co., KY. Catherine and Henry married 1885 in Rowan Co., NC., where Alex was born and raised. He may have been Catherine's older brother. He is too young to be her father. If she was his sister, then they shared the same father James Whiteaker b.1721 d.1809, son of Marke Whiteaker of Yorkshire, Eng. and Baltimore Parish, Md. b.1677 d1729. James and half brother Mark were early settlers of the Forks of the Yadkin (river) in Rowan Co., NC.
There is a question of the existence of an Alexander b.ca.1747 who, if he existed, could have been her father. Gary W.
