Rice W. Whiteacre was a brother of my ggg grandfather John Whiteaker. I am convinced that their father was Giles Whiteaker.

Elizabeth Whitecar was married to Travis Brooks (ba. 1823) Feb. 8, 1843 in Claiborne Co., TN. Their children were Mary (ba 1844), James F. (ba. 1846), Joseph (ba. 1848), Nancy (ba. 1850) and Calvin (ba. 1852).

I don't think the Whiteaker came from Scotland or Ireland.
