I have a number of Whistler kin who were living in Hampshire, England, in the 17th century. They feature in a "Great Tree" kept at Chist's Hospital, Horsham, Sussex. One or two might have Irish origins. There is somone called Rev. Hurt Whistler who married a Sarah Cox as well as a Leary Whistler born 1631 died 1715.

There seems to be some sort of connection with the Cox family. If you look at the Genforum board you will find several Cox searchers.

If you want further info., you must contact me at bibliophile@btopenworld.com My name is: Christopher Wood 20 August 2002.
