John Whisnant is found on the 1900 Cleveland County NC Census with wife Alpha L. and his son Grover age 15. Also in the home is John's sister Christinia Bibby age 77. Christinia is on the 1860 Rutherford Co. NC Census in Duncan's Creek Township(only a few miles from Cleveland County) with her husband James Bibby-b. ca. 1821. Children with them were Susanna, Maryann Frances, and John (L ?). On both the 1910 and 1920 Census, Christinia is with daughter Mary (Maryann Frances) and her husband James Bridges. My question is, "Is James Bibby a grandson of the Lt. John Bibby who was tried and hung at the Biggerstaff farm near where James and Christinia lived?
