Hi Cousins,
We now have the website up for our new, grassroots, Whisenhunt Y-DNA Project:

Now, all we need are some male line descendants who want to participate.
This project is open to all spelling variations of the surname Whisenhunt, Whisnant, Whisonant, Whisenhant, Whisanant, Whisant, Visinand, Visinant, and any others that you might like to send to me.
We are using Family Tree DNA as our testing company, because they have an enormous database of DNA test results, against which we can match our results.
But our Whisenhunt Y-DNA Project is a grassroots project, started by me, Mary Lee (McClendon) Becker, and it belongs to us, all of the Whisenhunt descendants. I am a volunteer, and my role, as the Group Administrator, is to assist our members in their Whisenhunt family research. I do not receive payment, nor do I sell test kits. I do not work for any company. I am strictly a volunteer, and I have experience in growing Y-DNA projects.
So come on, and let's get our Whisenhunt Y-DNA project off to a good start. We can do it.
