Pattie,
I don't know who this Virgie Whisnant is either, and, I am also curious about her. Virgie & Edgar are shown on the census as living nearby to my where my Grandfather, James Robert (AKA Robert James) Whisnant and my Grandmother, Bettie Elizabeth (Crump) Whishant had lived.

Whisenant, Hattie dau. 11-95 4 TX
Bettie Elizabeth died in 1909, so she is not on the 1910 census (see Below):

1920 census, Robert had died (1918). Found Uncle Frank and Aunt Georgia and their family in Lamar (Hughes County) and found Ola and Roxie as "s.i.l." (sister-in-law) living with "Scott Johnes" in Francis (Pontotoc Co). (This is Grannie and Paw). This census does not list Hattie, wife of Scott, however, but she raised Roxie and Ola and they were living with Scott and Hattie. This census should have also listed their daughter, Geneva Lois as she was five years old then.
