I don't know if this will help, but w/ Whisenant ancestry I happened to notice this land record and wondered who he was: Paul "Whisonmont" lived on the Holston River, near a branch of Sinking Creek; cornered the land of Robert Craig. This was from surveyors records for Washington Co., VA 1781 - 1797. Hope this helps!
