I have put up a Wissler/Whistler/Whisler family tree that goes back through different lines some of which go back 20 generations, and many going back to Europe in the 1500s. Everything on the site is free to use, and many people are contributing, also. Through the cooperation of many people that assisted me in my studies
on this for approx. 40 years, I have to say that it contains an incredible amount of Family history for the Whisler line as well as all the branches,from my father back, 5 of them going back to the 1500s, and one going back to the 1200s.
Much detail is spent on all the family names, and almost all of these begin in Adams, York, Lancaster Co. PA and Carroll (Baltimore) Co. Maryland.
