Joseph Whisenhunt (on this list) is my great grandfather. He died at 92 years of age. I was 12 when it happened. My grandmother (his daughter - still living)said I was his favorite great grandchild because I was the first one to be born with Cherokee Indian blood. I was also told that the kids (Joseph and his siblings) were actually half cherokee not quarter. This was done so they would be able to sell their alotted land. I don't know if it's true, but that's what I was told. My mom remembers meeting some of Joseph's siblings, but not all of them. My grandma also said that Joseph was married to somebody before he married my grandma Lydia and they had children(Joe and the 1st wife). Do you have any info on that?
