I am the great-grandaughter of Walter Thomas Whipple. He was born near the Linden/Jersey Shore area of Lycoming County, Pennsylvania on 17 May 1889. He died in Wolf Township, Lycoming County, PA in Sept. 1980. He was married to Pearl English about 1914 in Jersey Shore, PA. Pearl died in 1946 of complications of diabetes.
Walter and Pearl had 2 sons-Eldon Sanford b. 26 Nov 1917 d. 12 May 1976 and Lewis b. 5 Sept 1923 d. May 1966. Eldon married Isabelle Dentler (b. 10 May 1920 d. 4 Feb 1981) about 1938 and they had 2 sons-James Lewis, my father, (b. 16 July 1940 d. 24 May 2007) and Steven Bruce (b. 3 March 1951).
I am looking for any information on Walther's parents and/or siblings. I do know that he had a brother, Burrows b. 24 Jan 1876 d. Sept 1966. His last known residence was the Linden area of Lycoming County, PA. I have heard that there was possibly another brother (Robert?) who was killed in a barn accident when he was a small child. I have no confirmation of this information.
Any information on this family will be greatly appreciated.
