Earl N. Whinery, 77 of Dill City died in Sayre Memorial Hospital Wednesday, April 24.
He was born at Canute Dec. 16, 1907.He was married to Marie McDonald at Sulphur, Okla., Nov 23, 1929.
They moved to Dill City from Burns Flat in 1939 and have resided there since.
Whinery was a member of the Dill City Church of Christ and had been an elder since 1962.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in the Dill City Church of Christ with Alfred Reeve and Rod Cameron, ministers, officiating.Burial was in the South Burns Cemetery under direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Sayre.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marie Whinery; three daughters, Maxine Ellis of Topeka Kan., Goldie Ferris of Lakin, Kan., and Earlene Moore of Dill City; one son, Robert Whinery of Dill City; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, one brother and two grandchildren.
