I just looked at the obituary for William Whiffen again and he did also have a brother named Walter. The obituary only listed his surving siblings, so I have the surving children of Josehpine and Robert E Whiffen in 1995, as
William (deceased 1995)
Walter
Mary
and Dorothy
Was your grandmother Mabel still alive in 1995?
