Hallo Angela, I'm Sarah's mother and yes, Neil was my father-in-law, grandfather of Sarah, Nick and James. He was a much-respected GP in Christchurch, as was his father James Whetter. All we knew about their Cornish origins was that Neil's grandfather had been a station master and owned (?) a tin mine. We would be interested to know more! There was another Whetter family in Nelson, not directly related.
