There is also the hint that prodigious material has been gathered on the family, enough for a book, but never published. Perhaps the manuscripts still exist.
Since Darling was one of the 1786 petitioners from Kingston, NB seeking means to support an Anglican clergyman; I would recommend examining the records of Trinity Anglican Church, Kingston, Kingston Parish, Kings Co., NB which are on microfilm at the PANB, and can be had by inter-library loan. On the other hand, Elizabeth Whelpley, when she m. 23JAN1817 Isaac 'McKeak' was from Greenwich Parish. The website at:
