Hi Howard

Immigrant Henry Whelpley had only one son who produced male heirs who also produced males who had male issue. That was Henry's last child, born to his second wife, Jonathan Whelpley, b. between Sept. 1660-January 1661/62. There are literally millions of people who are descendants of Henry through his female children and female grandchildren, going back to the Sanford, Sniffen, Burley, Nash, Smith, Clason and other well-known CT surnames, but by far the majority of the people with the surname Whelpley in North America are direct descendants of Jonathan.
