Claire, this Whelpley family Bible I would think would be a valuable document. I am extremely surprised that nobody has been in touch with you. Some of the Whelpley's in this family are cousins, although they are not my ancestors. So are some Fowler's, Coe's and King's, which I note you have mentioned; even the name, Lucas, briefly shows up. From these hints, I suspect that you realize how important a family Bible can be. I have been in touch with one descendant of the Whelpley family, possibly even of the original owners of the Bible, and mentioned your message. Thought I would forewarn you in case you still have the information available.
