Guilford Wheeless was apparently the son of Kinchen Wheeless (son of Joseph Wheeless). I am currently trying to prove this line. Kinchin was a witness on the will that Guilford was listed in and Kinchin was the only Wheeless in the 1800 Census that had a male child of the correct age (otherthan Joyner Wheeless who was later Guilford's father-in-law (Elizabeth's father). Guilford and Elizabeth were apparently 1st cousins. Guilford's 1st wife was a Lydia Wheeless (maybe another 1st cousin).
