The Whelchel family has a reunion every year in Gaffney, SC the first sunday in August. Of course this is one branch of the Whelchel family, but I have gone to the reunion for several years and it is nice to meet other Whelchel's. Gaffney, SC is the place were Frances and Ann (Stockon) Whelchel lived and died. I also get to meet other Whelchel and they alway bring there genology info. It is lots of fun.
