Yes, that's what I'm saying. I have spoken with a great aunt who listed the names of her father's siblings that she could remember. Robert Lincoln Whelchel was one of them along with Teddy, Henry and Will. Robert Lincoln Whelchel was the only full name she could recall. She told me that A. J. had 11 brothers and 1 sister (Rachel) though she could no longer remember all the names. I am reasonably certain that your Robert Lincoln and my Andrew Jackson were brothers and that the Henry T. Whelchel you mention is also their sibling (Henry's widow was Alice Jane Whelchel). My great aunt also believes the family came from Webster County, Missouri. You mentioned that Henry enlised in 1864 but what month?

The reason I believe their father's name was William is because that is the name provided on Andrew's funeral record. It also lists the mother's maiden name as Eliza Potter.

My Andrew Jackson Whelchel, however, died on March 11, 1950 and is buried at Floral Hills Cemetery in Kansas City, MO.
Thanks for your help.
