This is probably the son of Henry Wheelock and Phoebe Dickinson, and most likely the husband of Mary, mentioned in your post. As stated, he is enumerated in the 1850 Census living in Williamstown, MA, age 47, laborer, born in CT, wife Mary, age 47, born in MA, children Henry J., age 20, born MA, Madison J, age 18, born MA, William F., age 9, born MA, and Mary M, age 5, born in MA. He is enumerated in the 1860 Census living in Adams, MA, with is wife Mary, children William F. and Mary M. In 1870 he is in Chicopee, MA, age 67, born MA, with Mary, age 64, born MA, and Ellen, age 24, born MA. By 1880 his wife Mary had died, and he is listed as a widower, living in the household of his daughter, Mary Morton in South Hadley, MA. His birthplace is given as VT, and his middle initial is given as L. His wife, Mary, must have died between 1870 and 1880. A Mary S. (Bliss) Wheelock died in South Hadley, 10 Aug 1876, age 74y, 14d, married, daughter of Ithamar and Mary, born in Wilbraham.
