And I have to thenk you because your information has filled in some long-missing links for me. Until now I could only guess who Artemus's predecessors were and I'm very curious as to how you came by the information.
Our most recent common ancestor is Benjamin Wheelock b. 1830.
His son Adelbert Wallace married Alice Belle Switzer.

(Re-married to Francis Martin Kennedy (from Belfast, Northern Ireland) on 11/23/2003 in Ortonville, MI. We live in Warren, MI and visited San Diego about 4 years ago.)

My father, Percy Lawrence Wheelock, wouldn't allow anyone to call him Percy. So, he went by Larry even though he had a younger brother by that name. Uncle Larry is now the last living of these Wheelock brothers. Most of them and Grandpa (Franklin Tobias) died of colon cancer.
The women seemed to have fared better and most are still living. However, Aunt Joyce died of a brain tumor in her teens, I think.
