My great grandfather's middle name was Wheelock - his full name was Eugene Wheelock Battershall. He was born on 27 September 1835 at Mannsville, Jefferson County, New York to Daniel M. & Minerva <Horton> Battershall. An 1850 census shows Daniel & Minerva along with sons George & Eugene living in Williamstown, Oswego County, New York with the Richard Winsor family. Because of Eugene's middle name, I wonder if there is a connection between the Battershall or Horton families and the Wheelock families. Thank you.
