Looking for Samuel James Wheelock (presumed born in Ireland) b1884/1885. He was listed as a commissionaire on his marriage certificate (in 1922 aged 38) and did this until he retired. He may have spent some time in the army (possibly Leinster regiment) before becoming a commissionaire. I have his marriage certificate to Sarah Priscilla Hartley (my great-grandmother) in 1922. His father is also listed as Samuel James Wheelock (occupation Gardener).I can't find either of these two Wheelocks. There is a Samuel Wheelock from Staffs, but the dates don't match and he died in the war.

I found the name Wheelock in a searh several times in Enniscorthy, Wexford.. perhaps they come from there? All I know is theres no UK registration of birth for him, but his marriage and death are registered. I know his wife (my great-grandmother was Irish, from Wicklow ro Wexford).

Can anyone help with this or give me pointers on how to proceed?
