My wife and I have spent the last twenty years compiling the genealogy and family history of the Oneida Indians. We have compiled a complete history of Oneida Wheelock family in Wisconsin and New York (much of our information was acquired by interviewing elderly members of the Wheelock family). Martin F. Wheelock and Dennison Wheelock were in fact first cousins. Their family history is facinating. My wife is the great-great granddaughter of Henry Wheelock who was a half-brother to Martin. Their father was a very colorful character known as "Ilish-go" or "Big Irish". My wife is also a great-great-great granddaughter of John Wheelock who was a brother both of "Big Irish" and of James Wheelock the father of Dennison. We have many family pictures, etc. I attended MBA school at Cornell University with Leslie Wheelock who was also a descendant of Martin Wheelock through his son Ervin.
