The four documented children of Stephen Wheeler Sr. were all born before 1804. James Wheeler his son is buried at Wheelers Cemetery in Russell Co. Va. His tombstone says born 1791. Stephen Wheeler Jr.is paying personal property taxes in Washington Co. Va. 1809. Documents in Russell Co. Va. War of 1812. Thomas and James have an 1815 record of participating as soldiers. 1819 Thomas is in Washington Co. paying personal property taxes. 21y/o is the year a person had to pay his taxes. 1820 William is in Floyd Co. Ky. with his father Stephen Wheeler Sr. Williams is 22y/o. 1850 census Johnson Co. Ky. William Wheeler is 52y/o born 1798 Washington Co. Va.
