Does anyone know of a lineal male descendant of Rev Stephen Wheeler or his brothers, Oliver and Jesse, who would be willing to do a DNA analysis to compare to other Wheeler lines in SW Virginia? We have one already for William Wheeler m. Mary Friend. Many people have tried to connect his William Wheeler with the family of Rev Stephen, but the DNA shows a close relationship with Wheelers from MD who slopped over into Loudoun Co, VA who migrated south and west through Washington Co,VA, and NC, SC, GA, and TN. This would also give the descendants in this line a chance to compare DNA and make sure they have made the right connections. If Stephen Wheeler is related to William Wheeler who married Mary Friend, I will be totally surprised. Any takers out there?
