This is why i often Update my Heritage Stories for the things change. I spent 2 yrs just researching many of my own lines' "family traditions" only to prove 7 our of 10 false..in the Wheeler line many claimed that James Moses Wheeler's wife was a daughter of Benjamin Harrison, then Governor of VA...that's totally False...yet in my early years I carried this data within my files assuming it true. This is why research is NEVER done, for one must continuely strike and pick at data to improve up it or correct it. What I discovered with the internet is that once data has been tossed out there, it never goes away and it's hard to correct it. I'm slowly getting the hand of it and am trying to correct past errors. The Wheeler line of SW VA and early E. KY does not have to be difficult once you seperate all the different bloodline that passed through there.
