According to the Wheeler Cousins book compiled and published in 1984, the parents of Benjamin are Archelaus Wheeler and Mildred (last name unknown). Archelaus and Mildred had 10 children with Benjamin being their 7th child.
The only information about Benjamin is as follows: "Benjamin Wheeler, b. ca 1786-9, VA; married 3 Oct. 1809 Adair Co.,KY to Sarah Barlow, d/o Lewis Barlow. After 1820, moved to Delaware and Shelby Counties IND."
About Archelaus: "Born about 1740-1750 in VA; lived in Buckingham and Bedford counties in VA as well as Madison, Green and Adair counties in KY; died 1830 in Adair County, KY; married about 1775-1780 in VA"
About Mildred(Unknown last name): "born about 1750-1760 probably in VA; died between 1840-1850 in Adair County, KY"
