Hi again Carol,

I just don't know much about the Kentucky and Indiana Wheeldon part of my maternal line. I put together my tree, but it does not tell about race issues; just surnames. My attention has been directed further back in time to Nancy Wheeldon's grandmother, who supposedly had a first name of Charity (last name unknown). But I now suspect that Charity was not the name she was born with. She may be (have been) Rachel "Charity" Covington, whose roots went back to eastern shore Maryland in the early 1700s.

I ordered a Family Finder test from FTDNA, which is due back sometime in June. So if I have any Native American or Afro-American DNA, I'll let you know.
