Hi All,
My name is rachel, I am the grandaughter of george Whieldon born 17/01/1922 around Ilkeston we think, who married "Laura York'. They lived in loscoe, derbyshire and moved family, ( my dad, Kevin included) to australia by ship in 1961.
WE are trying to find out who Georges father was, as we are hitting a brick wall on information! All we do know are only 'possibilities' for eg, that georges bith mother may have been a woman called 'Lilly Knight', and that george was in an orphanage in or around the late 1920's early 30's, before his grandparents ????? took him out and he was raised with his half brother called 'Henry Waterall'. If this rings a bell for anyone, or, if some one may kknow of any of Georges relatives still alive in England, Id be very greatful,
