Whedon/ Wheadon in Cattaraugus Co., NY

I am looking for any info on Charles Whedon who spent some of his years in Cattaraugus Co., NY. He is found in the 1855 and 1865 Cattaraugus Co State Census records. In 1880 he is across the state line in McKeen Co., Pa. His family turns up again in Cattaraugus co(Little Valley) in 1900 and 1910.

He tinkered around in the oil business and developed some oil fields in Marietta, Ohio and then found his way to New Albany, Wilson Co., Kansas where the local paper (The Kansas X-Ray) reports his comings and goings. He is in the 1905 Kansas State Census in Wilson Co and lists his occupation as farming and oil business and is 76 yrs old. The local paper has him returning to Little Valley, NY in the fall of 1906, but does not have him returning to attend to his property. He is not listed with his wife Laura and son Carl in 1910 in Cattaraugus Co.

I think he may of had a sister, Caroline. He loaned her money for a mortgage in Allen co., Kansas in 1880. Caroline Wheadon is listed in 1850 US Census for Cattaraugus Co., living with Lyman Taylor. She is 10 yrs old. She married James Kilby, Jr. March 9, 1857 in Cattaraugus Co. When Lyman Taylor died in 1875, he willed Caroline most of his estate. I haven't been able to come up with any other connections between her and Lyman Taylor.

I am most interested in the parents of these two people..
