I have found a JAMES WHEATON listed in Canada census, and am hoping that he was kin to my ancestors who migrated to NS and Canada from VA in 1783.
The surname has taken on many different spellings (I have found 26)so that it is most difficult to follow.
Am now researching the WEEDEN RI surname which is also
connected.
Would LOVE to hear from anyone who is doing similar research.
