Ephraim Brewster was born on 1806 in Lebanon, New London, Connecticut. He was the son of 2. William Brewster and 3. Susanna Wood. He died on Aft. 1871 in Canard, Kings Nova Scotia Canada. He married Melvina in Nova Scotia, Canada. She was born on 1823 in Ireland. She died on Aft. 1862 in Scot's Bay, Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Death certificate of his son shows son born in Ireland. According to family lore from Roy Brewster's father, Ephraim arrived in Nova Scotia, Canada, two steps ahead of the law.
Other researchers in this line: Ruth Hill; Beau Chapman; Kimberly Reynolds. Posting from relatives say they arrived in Nova Scotia in 1847l.

Cornelius Brewster, b 1841, may also be a child of this family, but have no proof other than the
fact that he said he was Irish in 1881 census.
Ephraim's residence in Scots Bay, Nova Scotia, was in Canning in 1871 and 1861.

Brewster. Rebecca and Henry never married but children used his surname in later life. Info from Helen McCulley, whose husband was Harold, son of George McCulley, Helen's grandmother, Mary Inez Corkum, told her that her Mother,
Prudence Brewster, called Rebecca, Auny Becky, but George's son, Carl, said he knew there was no relationship, but just a term of respect for an older woman.

William attended the University of Cambridge, England. He was a student at 'Peterhouse' the oldest of the fourteen' colleges then forming the University of Cambridge from 1284.
He arrived at Plymouth, Massachusetts, November 11, 1620 aboard the MAYFLOWER with his wife and two sons, Love and Wrestling.The rest of his children stayed behind and came over later.

His two swords, his pistol, dagger and armor, are mentioned in the inventory taken after his death.
One of his swords was presented to the Massachusetts Historical Society in 1798. He wore a violet colored cloth coat, black silk stockings, a ruff and was of impeccable modesty. He died possessed of a house, lands. cattle, and personal property worth 107 pounds.
