Adrian Daily Telegram, Sunday, December 16, 2007, pg A2 Tressa ‘Louise’ (Steveson) Wheaton Obit ADDISON — Tressa “Louise” Wheaton, age 93, of Addison, passed away on Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at Foote Hospital in Jackson. She was born on March 6, 1914, in Battle Creek to Leslie and Edna O. (Jones) Steveson. She married LaVere E. Wheaton on Sept. 14, 1935, in Brooklyn, and he preceded her in death on June 11, 1987. Louise lived her early life in Rollin, and then lived in the Addison area for many years. She was employed as a cook at the former Willow Lake Restaurant for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, loved to play cards and bingo, and enjoyed square dancing. Surviving are three daughters, Mary (Willis) Sax of Lodi, Ohio, Marjean (Gary) Fish of Delphos, Ohio, and Norma (Thomas) Heator of Addison; 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Stone of Englewood, Florida; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, LaVere; one son, William,and daughter-in-law Carol; two brothers, Harold Steveson and Herbert Steveson; and two sisters, Nettie Phipps and Martha Davis. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison, with Pastor Drew Woods officiating. Burial will take place at Woodstock-Sanford Cemetery, Woodstock Township, Lenawee County, Michigan. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday.
