I am looking for information on Eleanor (Ellinor) Blaine Wheaton born 1789 or 1798 (I have found it listed both ways)in Carlisle, Cumberland Co, PN. Her father was Robert Blaine born 1769 and her mother was Anna Susanna Metzgar born 1772.
Eleanor married first Dr. Levi Wheaton abt 1817 in PN and secondly John Hays
Eleanor had two daughters Eleanor (Ellen) Blaine and Mary Blaine Wheaton. I have found records that list Eleanor and Levi as having Mary Blaine Wheaton. I have also found where Eleanor had a daughter named Eleanor (Ellen). Does anyone know if this Eleanor (Ellen) could have been born out of wedlock and was given the same last name as her mother which was Blaine? Is it possible that she was raised as a Wheaton but was really a Blaine.
I am trying to locate the Eleanor Blaine born in 1813 in PN who married James Snyder born 1805 PN. She was a second cousin to James G Blaine. If this Eleanor did have the last name of Blaine, she would indeed be a second cousin to James G Blaine.
