I am looking for information on William Wheaton who lived in Norwalk, New Cannan Township during the Revolutionary War. He was a Union Loyalist who went to Long Island, where he died. William's real estate holdings, about 50 acres were convescated after the British burned Norwalk. His #2 son Ephriam (#1 William was killed in war on the wrong side) received a land grant in Kings county NB Canada. He had 3 wives and 16 children.

One of the deeds I have says William came from Greenwich CT and could have been over the border in NY. I went to Norwalk and state library in Hartford but haven't been able to locate any information going back further.

I have plenty of info Ephraim on I can share.

Bill Wheaton
Concord, VA
