Thomas Wheatly m. Nancy Peddigrew, 1809, Fairfield Co. OH.
Does anyone know anything about this couple?Marriage date was 22 May 1809.
I cannot identify them in any census from 1810 onward. No 1810 OH census exists. If they moved from OH that makes the identification difficult, since I don't know where they might have settled.
The only other record I found that is possibly this same Thomas Wheatly is this:
Ancestry.com:Stories & Publications > Military > Roster of Ohio soldiers in the War of 1812
pg 156:
27th US Infantry Regt. (29 Jan 1813)
From Fairfield, Franklin and Delaware Cos. OH & part of Western Reserve, served 1813-14
Capt. George Sanderson.
Private:Thomas Wheatley.
Since he served in the 1812 war, might this patentee of 160 acres in Knox Co. IL be the same Thomas?
Glorecords.com:
Patentee WHEATLEY, THOMAS,
Warrantee WHEATLEY, THOMAS

The patent for this Thomas states "private in Capt. Harrisons Comp of the 2nd Regt. of Riflemen."
Thanks for your help.
