Capt. Deneson Reg.
Amos of Cahoun n.Y., Orange Co., under Col. McGlaughlain June 7,1832, age 74. Amos was a Corp/ Seg. and was born 1758 Paughkeepsie, Dutches Co.,N.Y.No parents names listed.
While a resident of Orange Co.,N.Y. Amos enlisted in 1776 serving 6 mos. as a corp. in Capt. Dennison's Co. and marched to Ulster Co., to protect the frontiers from indians,served shortly afterwards 3mons. as Seg. in Capt. BEnj. Vail's N.Y.,Co., than 4mos. in Col. Mc Glaughlain's reg., 2mos. afterwards Fort Montgomery was taken by British. In 1779 he served as a private in Capt. John Burnet's Co., Col Pawlings N.Y. Reg. again on the frontier to protect against indian attachs. Pension - Aug. 24,1832
