It appears that there could be a connection.
I have records of a Samuel Wheare married to Grace Odgers on the 29th of March 1832 in Gwennap Cornwall.
My family descends from Henry who appears to be Samuel's older brother.
If I can get your E-mail address I can attach a tree of Samuel's ancestors back to 1570.
I got most of the information from another person in Australia, who got it from the parish records collected by the Mormon Church.
There are many entries that I can not confirm that have the Wheare name minus the 'e'.
My information for Samuel stops at 1862, if you have any information it would be good to compare notes.
If you are interested I can send more information on my side of the tree. I would be very interested in receiving more on Samuel and his family.
