Justin. I can't help with William H Whear. Although, I do have one but his date of birth would not be right for your William if he married in 1881. However the name change, I can help with. The Wheare surname was at one stage the most common in Cornwall were the families started. For some reason lost in time many chose to drop the last e in the early to mid 1800's. Many that did, moved to the USA and Canada. You might try looking up the old spelling of Wheare.
