My ancestor was Sir Gilbert Wharton, Bt. He was allegedly descended from the Whartons of Kirby Thore.

Do you have any information on Sir Gilbert Wharton, Bt.'s son, George, the "Royalist," who emigrated to Virgina circa 1685?

I do know that Sir Gilbert WHARTON was rather strange because he was an astrologer, and published almanacs. He was the son of a blacksmith and educated at Oxford; although, he never bothered to receive his degree, which is odd, in of itself.

Do you know who Sir Gilbert WHARTON, Bt.'s father was?
