Hi Rene, You were asking about Ann(or Nancy) who married David Griffith. In my one search of the marriages I note that they were married by Rev Duke in 1795 while Margaret Whann was married by the same Rev Duke in 1793 and Wm Whann was married by the same Rev Duke in 1794. I have a researcher's letter which says Samuel Whann b 1743 and died 1830 married Sarah Barr and had children: William who married Jane Maffitt 1794, Margaret married Joseph Wallace 1793, and David who married Margaret Maffitt 1807. Your Griffith name wasn't in that listing. What did they name their children? Sometimes you can tell if they match sibblings or parents. It seems Wm Whann b. 1741 was perhaps kin to Samuel and he married Jane Alexander(widow of Faris) and they had an Ann b. abt 1779 but she married James Stewart, jr.
