Hercules Whaley's name can be found on several documents in the Cooke County Courthouse records in Gainesville, Texas. He is in the Thomas F. Whaley line.He seems to have been in real estate, because he sold several ranches in the area.He also sold a slave.I believe he was J.O.A. Whaley's son.He sold a farm to P.A. Howell 12-23, 1870
In tracing my Whaley's, I have found that he was acousin to my ggrandfather, John Trousedale Whaley and my grandfather was Trouse Lamar Whaley of Bulcher, Texas (Cooke County).Don't you just love their names?
