Wow, talk about serendipitous genealogy! I went to the Blair County Genealogical Society on Wednesday to get the obits for my Dad's aunts and uncles, one of whom is Dessa Weyandt and her husband Samuel Diehl. Today is Friday.

I can email you the obit. Dessa was born 8/12/1902 according to my records; 8/12/1903 according to obit. Parents were Adam Weyandt and Della Rachel Lingenfelter; his Joseph Yost Weyandt Jr and Susan Musselman; hers Chauncey Frank Lingenfelter and Elizabeth Claar. Their lines go way back in some cases, and I can send you info by snail mail, and, with their permission, put you in touch with two better informed Weyandt family researchers.

Obit says Dessa died 12/23/1942, heart attack, in Pottstown PA., her home. Married in 1919 to Samuel, resided in Sproul, Pa., then Pottstown. Sons Robert and John, with 2 children deceased. She is buried in Upper Claar Church of the Brethren Cemetery

The Cemetery book, compiled by Jan Oberle, says they had 7 children. Says Samuel Diehl's dad, Cornelius, was WWI vet, and his mom was Margaret Bowser born 1871.

Let me know if this helps. I didn't check to see if anyone else responded to your quesry. I am sending you an invitation to my website, which has photos of Dessa's ancestors. The narrative for each photo will tell you how they are related.

Nancy Williams, Sykesville, Md.
