John Wettstein at Pittsburg, Ks. sent me a copy of the marriage license for Henry Wettstein and Olefina Bazin dated aug. 9, 1886 at collinsville, il. The application for license is dated aug. 7, 1886. I forward copies of both to my second cousin Helene Zwhalen at Zollikerberg, switzerland. Helene wrote to John, so I do not know exactly how we are related. John must be your uncle or great uncle? Helen has trace our family back to 1529. Mygrand father Jacob Wettstein was born Aug 1, 1862 south of Zurich on east side of lake Zurich. My grandmother Anna's maiden name was Wettstein, and married a Wettstein, they were 2nd cousin. She was born, also on the east side of lake Zurich, they got married in the town of Maur, may 13.1885 and then came to America. Settle near Pekin, Il. and then moved to woodford county, near Eureka, il. They have over 300 descendants here.Mar.2000 we went to Zurich to meet our cousins and tour the area where our grand parents were born, we were the first descendants to return since they came to America 115 years ago.
